#3 Eddie Alvarez Will Wrestle McGregor Into Submission
Remember when Chad Mendes took on McGregor on short notice? Yep, it could look exactly like that and worse for the Irishman. Reason number three is more a McGregor reason why he shouldn’t fight Alvarez and that’s because Alvarez is all kinds of wrong for him as a wrestler.
It’s no secret that McGregor is seriously lacking in wrestling and grappling skills, that’s the reason Nate Diaz was able to beat him in the first place — because he just lacked that real world grappling skill to be able to hang with experienced opponents.
I’m sure many fans feel that if Mendes had enough time to prepare for McGregor, that he would have had a better showing and would have won that bout. Now Alvarez is in a better position than Mendes was when he fought Mystic Mac and it could end up to be McGregor’s undoing.
