#1 Other Fighters Are More Deserving of a Shot at Alvarez
Conor McGregor has gotten the fights that he’s wanted his entire UFC career because he talks himself into them, while other more deserving fighters are left in the dust, picking up his table scraps.
It’s not fair, that’s for damn sure, but that’s just the way it is in modern times. Sadly, the UFC has come from being an organization that puts together the fights that are supposed to happen based on true fighter progression, to an organization that caters to the almighty dollar.
And boy, does McGregor makes it rain.
Nevermind the Frankie Edgar’s or the Khabib Nurmagomedov’s of this world. It’s the McGregor era — an era where all you need to do is talk the talk (walking the walk is optional).
Why should McGregor NOT fight Eddie Alvarez? Because he’s literally leapfrogging other more worthy challengers for the UFC’s 155-pound strap.
