2. The Series is Tied

This point is pretty obvious, but needs to be made: this rivalry is tied. Nothing is finished until the tie is broken.

There have been a few occasions where fighters were tied 1 win a piece after 2 fights and no trilogy was ever booked. Such examples include Frank Mir and Brock Lesnar and Georges St. Pierre and Matt Serra. Although in each of those examples it was clear that the fighter who won the second bout was the superior fighter. That is definitely not the case here, as UFC 202 did absolutely nothing to end the debate about who is the better fighter between Conor and Nate.
