Akebono vs Royce Gracie
Probably the most famous David vs Goliath bout in history, Brazilian jiu-jitsu legend Royce Gracie of the world-famous Gracie fighting family took on American-born Japanese professional sumo wrestler Chad “Akebono Taro” Rowan at K-1.
The fight is the epitome of ‘size doesn’t matter’ in MMA. Gracie, 6-feet tall and 176 lbs would make easy work of Akebono who was a massive 6’8” creature weighing 500 lbs. Look up David vs Goliath and this is what will probably come up.
