Kenny Florian’s inability to win promotional gold certainly leaves his legacy hanging in the balance, but he remains one of the most complete fighters of his time. One who could very well be considered the Dan Marino of mixed martial arts.

But despite his effectiveness, stretching over four weight classes in nine years as a professional, “Ken Flo” was permanently sent packing by Aldo after UFC 136. It was Florian’s third UFC title loss and a statement by the champ that he was capable of beating anyone in his way.

Aldo’s ability to keep the fight standing helped him land countless leg kicks to the challenger, taking away the possibility of Florian dragging the action to the ground and utilizing his world-class grappling.

It is easily one of Aldo’s most impressive performances to date, as he was able to take a crafty veteran out of his element for five-straight rounds.
