6. Chan Sung Jung at UFC 163
Chan Sung Jung, better known in the world of MMA as “The Korean Zombie,” carried a lot of excitement with him when met Aldo at UFC 163, serving as the champ’s fifth-straight title defense.
To much surprise, the Korean pressed forward throughout the fight, forcing Aldo to take a more defensive approach than his usual patient output. In effort to slow down Jung, the Brazilian often relied on his wrestling to the tune of five takedowns.
After an unfortunate injury in the fourth round resulted in a separated shoulder for the challenger, Aldo pounced like a shark among dead fish.
It wasn’t the prettiest of finishes for one of the best offensive threats in MMA, but Aldo effectively warded off a guy famously known to absorb damage and entice war.
