At 51 years old a Bas Rutten comeback probably isn’t in the cards. Rutten is another one who missed the cutoff for modern day MMA, and the better financial rewards that come along with it.
He has however, developed a successful broadcasting career, with “Inside MMA” having been a well-received show for 10 years before its cancellation.
Rutten was hoping to become the first person to win UFC titles in multiple weight classes at the time he was forced to retire. He had been planning on dropping to middleweight when he suffered multiple knee injuries that ultimately ended his career.
