1. WSOF 3: Josh Burkman vs. Jon Fitch
Just because this fight didn’t happen in the UFC doesn’t mean that Dana White was going to turn down an opportunity to blast Steve Mazzagatti.
White isn’t exactly a big Jon Fitch either, but that doesn’t mean he wants him to take unnecessary damage. Burkman choked out Fitch in less than a minute, though Mazzagatti was the only one not to notice. Burkman, sensing Fitch was out (and possibly that Mazzagatti was as well) released the hold even without the ref stepping in.
White went on Twitter to vent about the late stoppage afterwards:
Glad Burkman stopped. Mazzagatti is a clueless idiot who will hurt someone and continue to ruin guys legacies. Much respect Josh
