Is there anything in life more infuriating than a compulsive liar? Perhaps it’s genetics, or original sin, or maybe these people are just crooked by choice. Whatever the case, most people will tell you tat liars are the worst kind to be around.
One trend that seems to have spiked in a big way since the most recent conflicts in the East is something called ‘stolen valor.’ This is the act of dressing, acting or identifying as a member of the armed forces.

It is a federal offence to wear a military uniform that doesn’t belong to you, or represent service you have performed. The Stolen Valor Act was brought in under George W. Bush’s reign as president in 2005.
Although it’s not only the United States of America that suffers frequent acts of stolen valor, it seems to be where the hideous crime is performed the most.
Perhaps the cowardly nature of this crime makes the exposing of the perpetrators so satisfactory to watch. Good men die for their country in these uniforms, and for these people to imitate and steal valor is simply wrong.
