8. Jeff Monson
One look at Jeff Monson would make you think that this guy is the typical MMA fighter. Massive, with a load of crazy tattoos and a shaved head, he’s truly a frightening looking individual. But it just goes to show that you shouldn’t judge somebody by their appearances because there’s way more to Monson than meets the eye.
First of all, he got his bachelors degree in psychology from the University of Illinois, before getting his masters from the University of Minnesota Duluth, where he also worked as a wrestling coach. After graduating, he was a mental health care professional five years, before focusing on a career that took him to Pride, Strikeforce and the UFC. Oh, and now he’s a politician in Russia. Yep.
