Logan Stanton And Natasha Wicks Fired
Despite being popular Octagon girls, Logan Stanton and Natasha Wicks were abruptly released from the promotion at the end of 2009.
The decision took both girls by surprise, especially as they had still been promoted by the company at the time and were to be in the UFC video game that was due to come out the following year.
It may have just been that the UFC wanted a fresh look for their Octagon girls, with Stanton suggesting that perhaps they were looking for curvier ladies, but others suggested that there was another reason for their dismissal.
Earlier that month, during an interview with RawVegas.TV, Stanton and Wicks were critical of UFC fighter Josh Koscheck, agreeing with a groundswell of opinion at the time that suggested that he had faked an eye injury during a fight with Anthony Johnson.
It was an unusual occurrence as it was rare that the Octagon girls were given an opportunity to voice their opinions on the fights and fighters, particularly negative ones.
The UFC never revealed the real reason for their dismissal, with Dana White simply stating that, “I don’t think I want to talk publicly about why people were let go.”
