6. Clay Guida vs. Gray Maynard

Guida has always been known as a tireless ball of energy, and that was the case with his main event fight with Gray Maynard at UFC On FX 4. The only problem was that none of that energy seemed to be aimed at his opponent, instead opting to bounce around on the outside, punch thin air and whip his head back and forth like he was attending a silent disco.

Maynard was completely perplexed by this and cautiously tried to engage, but struggled to find a home for his punches against this constantly moving target and became increasingly frustrated. The referee reminded the two men they were supposed to be fighting. But it was to no avail, leading to five rounds of absolutely nothing until Maynard was declared the split decision winner.

The post-fight stats were staggering for all the wrong reasons. Maynard threw 51 strikes in the opening round, yet only landed five of them. Guida sunk to a new low in the third round by landing just 6% of his strikes (4 out of 63).
