Chris Weidman: The Champ Comes Home - Ultimate Fighting ...

Chris Weidman (9)

As it stands today, Chris Weidman is the only undefeated male champion on the UFC roster.

Even more impressively, the New Yorker is the only undefeated champion in UFC middleweight history. Chalk it up to possessing an uncanny ability to debunk some of the greatest Brazilian mixed martial artists of all time (Anderson Silva; Vitor Belfort; Lyoto Machida; Demian Maia).

His most notable victories inside of the Octagon certainly came against former pound-for-pound great Silva, despite many beliefs that “The Spider” had passed his prime before Weidman ever got his hands on him. While “The All American” followed up his stint with Silva by defending his title in succession opposite Machida and Belfort, they too are bordering contenders on the decline.

Regardless, maintaining a perfect professional record (13-0) and winning nine-straight appearances inside of the Octagon goes a long way in earning respect around these parts.

If Weidman can muscle his way past a determined Luke Rockhold at UFC 194 this December, then he could very well run away with the division until a light heavyweight showdown with Jon Jones presents itself.
