He might not show up until the latter stages of 2017, but when he does expect it to be monumental.
McGregor will be taking some time off to film Game of Thrones, count his money, have a kid etc. But when he returns, there are numerous big-money fights for him waiting.
The current rumour of Conor vs Khabib Nurmagomedov in Russia sounds the most intriguing, but a trilogy bout with Nate does as well. Dana White recently attempted to quash hopes of Nate vs Conor III happening in 2017, but if that is the bout Conor decides he wants, well…. we all know what happens when Conor wants something.
Another possible big bout for Conor in 2017 is against Tyron Woodley, possibly for the welterweight title and held in Ireland. While the prospect of Conor stalling yet another division is probably not something Dana White wants, he will book it if it’s the bout which will make the most money.
