Frankie Edgar
This list may contain a great lot of talented fighters, but none more hard-working than “The Answer” Frankie Edgar. Edgar is a true workhorse and living proof that you don’t have to be the most talented guy in the room, you just have to be the hardest worker to be successful.
Edgar has faced the most dangerous fighters in and around his division since he began his career over 10 years ago. The list includes BJ Penn, Jose Aldo, Gray Maynard, Benson Henderson, Chad Mendes and Cub Swanson — all of whom were unable to knock Edgar out.
He’s lost a total of five times. All five losses have come by decision. In times that he was close to getting stopped, he dug deep and found a way to survive or even win. Being able to withstand so much punishment and still remain standing is a testament to Edgar’s work ethic.
At the end of the day, Edgar will go down as one of the toughest guys to ever compete in MMA.
