A Drunken Man’s Lucky Punch
Chris Leben’s ticket to fame came when he joined the first Ultimate Fighter reality TV show in 2005. On the same show, we saw the shade side of his personality that remained constant until he was removed from the UFC roster by Dana White himself.
It is no secret that Leben always wants an overflowing supply of booze at every party that he attends. It almost always results in a punch-drunk version of himself. But in his 2007 fight against Terry Martin, getting dazed was like a walk in the park for him.
Even after being rocked with multiple punches by a badmouthing Martin, a half-dazed Leben managed to knock Martin out cold in the first round.
Martin might have tried talking sense to Leben. But Leben just couldn’t distinguish being drunk and getting wobbled, it had the same feeling.
Dan Henderson’s KO of Bisping is still my favorite moment of all time. Especially with the extra shot to shut him up after the fact. Karmic!
pity he got his revenge….how about that?
