Carla Esparza is the 1st ever UFC Strawweight Champion, but a few months later she was embarrassed by current champion Joanna Jedrzejczy.
The tournament that Carla Esparza won to win the first ever SW title took place on the 20th season of the Ultimate Fighter. While the tournament did include top strawweights such as Rose Namajunas and Jessica Penne, it also didn’t include several top fighters such as Claudia Gadelha or Jedrzejczy.
Esparza didn’t have to beat the best of the best to win the title in her division, and that is what gets her ranked #4 on this list. She looked good in her last fight though at UFC 197 though, so perhaps she could win the title a second time somewhere down the line.

And the irony.. He says Barnett is the worst of all time because he fails tests, but Cormier is the second worst because he isn’t better than Jon Jones a MULTIPLE STEROID CHEAT!
