
3.) Ronda Collects Another Arm
Ronda Rousey carried the torch for Women’s MMA. Because of the dominating fashion in which she wins fights, Dana White was finally on board with bringing Women’s MMA to the mainstream. After saying that Women would never compete in MMA, the UFC President saw the potential that fighter’s like Rousey could bring to the UFC. In November of 2012, White announced that Rousey was the first female fighter to be signed by the UFC.
Rousey was the most dominant athlete on the planet prior to her recent UFC title loss to Holly Holm. The Judo Olympic Medalist rag dolled all of her opponents, usually finishing the fight any way that she wanted. She was slated to defend her title against the undefeated Cat Zingano at UFC 184. What ensued was another day at the office for Rousey, who used her most common finishing move to finish the fight in 14 seconds.
