Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz III
We’ll get this fight in 2017, although many of us wish it would be sooner.
Nate Diaz says he is not “doing s&*t” until the trilogy bout between the two, possibly because he noticed the pay checks he gets for fighting Conor are significantly higher than the ones he gets when he fights other people. Although Nate’s a big enough star now that he will be making big money no matter who he fights.
Conor on the other hand will be fighting at least once before the trilogy bout. He may have to defend his featherweight championship against Jose Aldo, although he did not seem overly enthused at that idea at the UFC 202 post-fight press conference. He may fight Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight title, and he may end up in a super-fight with Georges St. Pierre. Hey they could even schedule Conor vs. Nick Diaz too.
But no matter who Conor faces beforehand, or how he does, his trilogy bout with Nate Diaz in 2017 will be the most anticipated trilogy bout in MMA history.
