4. Fighter Pay

The amount that fighters get paid has increasingly become something critics point to when speaking poorly of UFC management.

Before his brother Nate was scheduled to face Conor McGregor at UFC 196, Nick had stated publicly that he was “sick” at what his brother made on his last fight with Michael Johnson, which was $20K to show and $20K to win. Both Diaz brothers have also complained publicly about Nate’s pay from UFC 196 in comparison to McGregors.

Tim Kennedy, who can basically say and do what he wants because he’s Rambo, has also been very vocally negative about how much UFC fighters are paid.

Kennedy claims he was told by White personally to keep his opinions about fighter pay to himself, but Kennedy would not agree to those terms. Kennedy also said that he makes far more money outside of the UFC than in it, and he’s one of the higher paid guys.
