7. Jose Aldo’s Translator UFC 194

Evidently Jose Aldo’s translator for his UFC 194 post-fight interview after losing to Conor McGregor, was not aware that other people speak both Portuguese and English and would find out how little of what Aldo said he chose to express.

Rogan asked Aldo “how much of the fight do you remember?”, to which Aldo spoke for awhile and then the translator responded “I think we need the rematch. That was really not a fight so we need to get back in here.”
Rogan then answered back that it definitely was a fight.
Basically Aldo’s translator made it seem like Aldo was saying it wasn’t really a fight and they need to have a rematch, but what Aldo actually said had a different tone to it.
What Aldo actually said, according to other translators later was:
“I believe that after this fight we have to go for a rematch, it is not done yet. He got me with a good shot and was able to finish the fight.”
