So you want to be a Vegas gambler? ‘Vegas Dave’ is back again, and he’s placing a massive wager on the Holly Holm vs. Miesha Tate fight at UFC 196. What a guy!
Holly Holm shocked the world by knocking out Ronda Rousey at UFC 193 in November 2015. The devastating kick that landed flush to the side of Rousey’s head turned the MMA world upside down. Rousey was the first female fighter to combine the talent and marketability needed to bring women’s MMA to the mainstream. Observers have now questioned her ability to come back from her first professional loss, especially after her admission to thoughts of suicide after the defeat on “The Ellen Show”.
A popular story appeared in the days following Holm’s knockout win of a professional gambler who won $240,000 by placing a $20,000 bet on Holm. The man known as “Vegas Dave” has also recently won a staggering $2.5 million from the Kansas City Royals victory in the World Series.
