
Former UFC Bantamweight fighter, George Roop suffered a horrific leg break during his fight with Yoon Jun Lee at ROAD FC on Saturday. The injury forced Roop to retire injured from the bout, giving him his third loss in a row.
Roop, who was recently released by the UFC, went 4-6 fighting in the UFC losing to some top contenders along the way, including Takeya Mizugaki in his last fight for the promotion. The fight on Saturday was the Arizona natives first fight since being cut by the UFC.
The victory for Jun Lee takes him to seven victories in a row, with Roop being the biggest name fighter he has competed against. While the victory is somewhat tainted by the circumstances the Korean fighter is looking like a prospect at Bantamweight.
