Wow…Frankie Edgar is STILL one of the baddest men on the planet…

Former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar has found himself in a strange situation lately. Since dropping to featherweight, Edgar has been subject to a number of unfortunate circumstances, and also narrow losses to Jose Aldo.

When ‘The Answer’ came down to 145 pounds, Conor McGregor was leading the pack. Even though Edgar had called for a fight with McGregor on many occasions, those challenges fell on deaf ears.

Loss To Aldo

When ‘The Notorious’ spent 2016 fighting in the welterweight and lightweight divisions, the 145-pounders suffered. Aldo and Edgar were set for a rematch of their thrilling UFC 156 affair, and at UFC 200 the outcome was the same.

Edgar lost the rematch by decision, and thus found himself in limbo in his new division. The chances of fighting McGregor were nil, and a trilogy fight against Aldo was highly unlikely. All Edgar can do now is keep winning, and hope that maybe Max Holloway can unify the title against Aldo.

Frankie Edgar vs. Yair Rodriguez Recap & Highlights

During last night’s explosive UFC 211, Edgar came up against rising Mexican prospect Yair Rodriguez. The young star’s explosive and unusual striking saw him knock out BJ Penn in his last outing.

Edgar wasn’t having any of this, and did not buy in to the hype at all. Smashing his way to victory, Edgar made Rodriguez’s face look like something from a horror flick.
