Team Alpha Male’s Urijah Faber Has Been Driven Over By a Car in Singapore But Lived to Tell The Tale…

Urijah Faber was extremely popular back in his fighting days. Recently retired, ‘The California Kid’ is devoting his time to coaching, and is currently in Singapore to corner his fighter, Teruhito Ishihara. The Japanese fighter will take on Petr Yan at UFC Fight Night 132.

Faber has faced off against some epic opponents, including Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar. He also proved to be a decent foil for Conor McGregor on the Ultimate Fighter a few seasons ago, back when it was actually entertaining.

However, now the retired Californian and former WEC featherweight champion have finally met his true match. While standing on the street in Singapore, he accidentally stepped out onto the road and had his foot driven over by a car. Does anybody know the whereabouts of Jon Jones right now?

Embarrassing

Faber seemed more embarrassed by the situation than actually damaged. Yes, his foot is a swollen mess, but it could have been much worse and he still seems mobile on it. He posted a video on Instagram of him in the back of a car, showing off his injury. He’s fit enough to take his shirt off for some reason. Even though it’s night time. In a car with other men.

“Warm welcome to Singapore, first day here and get run over by the only car in the road #strange,” he wrote on Instagram.

To be fair they do drive on the opposite side of the road in the city-state to the US, so if the street was quiet and he wasn’t paying attention, it would be relatively easy to do.

Survivor

Faber, being from Team Alpha Male, posted a further dramatic statement about the incident. The guys could honestly make careers out of the theater. The 39-year-old wrote on social media:

“I just got run over by a car in Singapore. Stepped into the street and got ‘ba-donk’ right on my foot. Survivor.”

Alright mate, calm down, it was your toe that got driven over, not your head. Although we should be thankful because he has one of the most glorious heads of hair of anybody in the UFC. Any man should be jealous of those lustrous blonde curls.

Coach

After the Ishihara fight, Faber’s main focus will be preparing former bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt for his rematch with TJ Dillashaw. This is a toxic grudge fight of the highest order. Dillashaw switched camps and got absolutely condemned by Team Alpha Male for doing so.

However, he made them all look like idiots by knocking out Garbrandt at UFC 217, on an epic night where three champions were overthrown. Dillashaw is the favorite going into this one again, but one thing is for sure, it should be an epic fight.
