
5. Lance Batchelor
Lance Batchelor won the Mr. Utah bodybuilding competition in 1992, the year before UFC 1. Evidently this achievement led him to believe he is a bad ass. He’s not though, he’s not a bad ass. In 1994 he challenged jiu jitsu black belt Pedro Sauer, a man who was a good 100lbs lighter than him.
This was back when the world was just learning that a jiu jitsu practitioner is able to defeat men much larger than them, provided that the larger man is not trained in jiu jitsu of course. Evidently Batchelor wanted to test this claim. You can judge for yourself how he did.
Following this fight Batchelor disputed the result, saying Sauer’s students ended the fight early, therefore he should be awarded the victory.
