No.1: Yoel Romero
It’s hard to believe that UFC middleweight star Yoel Romero is 41-years-old as he’s still a remarkable physical specimen who continues to look and compete like he’s in his prime.
In fact, you need not look any further than the fact that the former Olympic wrestling silver-medalist’s last three fights were all scheduled to be for either the middleweight title or interim belt to appreciate that age is just a number for the Cuban star.
Romero’s formidable record in the UFC includes an eight-fight winning streak that featured six (T)KO stoppages and saw him defeat a string of top-flight talent like Chris Weidman, Lyoto Machida, Luke Rockhold, Ronaldo ‘Jacare’ Souza and Tim Kennedy.
With ‘The Soldier Of God’s’ only two losses in the UFC being via decision against current champion Robert Whittaker, he remains one of the most intimidating and dangerous fighter’s on the UFC roster and is likely to be a top contender at 185lbs for some time to come.
