Andres Camacho
The opening fight at Trench Warz 20 between Jesse Jo Mesa and Andres Camacho certainly got the evening off to an explosive start – just not for the right reasons.
Mesa went on the offensive from the opening bell and started landing repeated kicks to Camacho, but as his opponent crumbled under the onslaught, Mesa made the mistake of landing an illegal kick to the head while he was grounded.
Camacho got back to his feet shortly afterwards, but clearly wasn’t in the right state of mind as he immediately started teeing off on the referee, mistakenly thinking he was his opponent.
Luckily the official, Frank ‘The Crank’ Camacho, was a fighter himself and so he was able to defend himself and then get the confused fighter into the clinch and explain to him what had happened.
Needless to say Mesa was disqualified for the illegal blow and afterwards ‘The Crank’ praised Camacho for his fighting spirit.
“Usually fighters cover their heads and pretend to be in antagonizing pain to sway a disqualification win,” Camacho said on YouTube. “This fighter was totally opposite of that. He was GAME!”
