Brendan Schaub vs. Travis Browne/Dana White
Brendan Schaub used to date Travis Browne’s girlfriend (now wife) Ronda Rousey. That made things more than a little awkward when they were scheduled to fight at UFC 181 in 2014. Browne would end up TKO’ing Schaub in the first round. ‘The Hybrid’ would later announce his retirement from the sport.
You’d think that would have been enough to settle the rivalry, but Browne took a verbal jab at Schaub a couple of years later. “#tbt What a satisfying night when you shut someone up with your fists!#ufc #activ8media #hawaii #satisfied,” Browne wrote alongside a picture of him finishing Schaub.
“That was years ago. Get over it man, is it because I used to date the girl you’re dating now?” Schaub responded on his ‘Fighter And The Kid’ podcast. “I’m just glad Ronda gave him some time off from folding her laundry.” Complicating matters further, Schaub would later get into a war of words with his ex-boss, UFC president Dana White. The UFC exec called him out after disagreeing with comments he’d made about Israel Adesanya.
The two engaged in a war of words that suddenly got overly personal when Schaub implied White had slept with the same girl as him. The concensus was that he meant Rousey:
“This is no way Eskimo brothers should be talking to each other,” Schaub publicly wrote to White. “Last warning,” which appeared to bring the matter to a close.
