Aside from the huge fight against Sergei Pavlovich and Tom Aspinall for an interim heavyweight championship, the bouts of promising Asian MMA fighters are also something to anticipate in the preliminary card.

First is Myanmar-born Joshua “The Fearless” Van (8-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC, fighting out of Houston, Texas), who will face Peruvian Kevin Borjas (9-1 MMA).

It will be Borjas’ UFC debut at flyweight, but the 22-year-old Van will certainly try to maintain his undefeated status in the UFC.

In his last fight, Van struggled a lot to win in a split decision against Zhalgas Zhumagulov in June. We will see if this will also be the case this weekend with his fight with the Peruvian opponent.

Meanwhile, Kang Kyung-ho, AKA “Mr. Perfect” (19-9-0, 1 NC) of South Korea will face John Castañeda.

With a two-fight win streak, Kang is expected to sport his excellent wrestling and top control once again with the aid of his height and reach advantage. Yet, with Castañeda’s 20-6-0 record, it won’t be an easy fight for Kang, who is now 36 years old. In case the South Korean fighter wins and follows it with two more wins, it will certainly help him shoot for a place in the UFC’s bantamweight rankings.

UFC 295 will be live on Madison Square Garden In New York On November 11, 2023. Aside from the four fighters above, Dennis Buzukja and Jamall Emmers will also be on the preliminary card.
