4. Ed O’Neil

Remember Al Bundy? From Married with Children? Turns out he is a legit jiu-jitsu black belt and has trained under Rorion Gracie for 22 years.

Apparently martial arts is a very big part of the former sitcom star’s life. He was first introduced to martial arts by his friend John Milius, a long time Hollywood writer/director whose list of credits include Apocalypse Now, Red Dawn, and the Hunt for Red October. Evidently his pursuit of advancing his martial arts skills trumped his pursuit of landing more acting roles.

O’Neil appeared in the documentary “I am Bruce Lee” to discuss the positive influence martial arts has had on his life. He stated that aside from his kids, his black belt in jiu-jitsu is the greatest achievement of his life.
