3. Nunes Starts Fast

The book on Amanda Nunes is that she starts with a furious pace, but will tire in the later rounds. Unfortunately for her opponents, her fights rarely go past the 1st round. Miesha Tate found this out about Nunes at UFC 200, when she couldn’t contain her early onslaught.

In 17 fights, Nunes has only gone passed the 1st round twice, and only gone to a decision one time. All of her victories have come via knockout or submission. She is not someone who fights to win a decision in other words.

This does not bode well for Ronda, who will be returning to the cage for the first time in a year. Rousey might start off tentative as a result, which will give Nunes an opening to push the pace early, as she likes to do.
