Daniel-Cormier

2. Strength and Wrestling Advantage

The most likely outcome of this fight is Daniel Cormier grinding Anderson Silva down.  Clinching him up against the fence, pinning him against the mat and forcing Silva to expend energy until he’s got nothing left.  That’s when Cormier can attack.

Silva’s first fight with Chael Sonnen is indicative of what you can expect at UFC 200, minus the 5th round triangle submission.  Sonnen wore Silva down with his wrestling, and while Silva was said to have a rib injury at the time, it was an effective strategy (only until it wasn’t).

All Cormier really needs to do is close the difference and negate Silva’s reach advantage and this fight will go however he wants it to.  Silva has never faced anyone with the strength and wrestling ability of Cormier.
