Bananas
Dada 5000 used to really recommend adding bananas to your diet when cutting weight, but that doesn’t mean its a bad idea, it just didn’t work out too well for him.
According to Live Strong, the organization made famous by Lance Armstrong (a person who knows a thing or two about what to consume for peak athletic performance), eating half a banana before, during and after exercise is the equivalent of drinking a sports drink in terms of being able to sustain athletic performance.
They are a low-fat source of energy, and also a good source of fiber, nutrients and a large range of vitamins.
Dada 5000 evidently was trying to cut weight by eating only bananas. He later almost died, so that is probably something that should be avoided.
