Former UFC Middleweight Champion, Luke Rockhold is eyeing for a comeback after suffering a brutal knockout loss against Jan Blachowicz. Although his loss from Blachowicz aged pretty well, as Blachowicz went on to become the next light-heavyweight champions.

The UFC offered Rockhold to fight Chimaev, and he accepted but claims that Chimaev’s side declined the fight saying that he wants to focus at the welterweight division. If it is true, it will certainly decrease the stocks of Chimaev, as he claims to have that anytime, anywhere attiude.

Chimaev went to a potential stardom, when he debuted in the UFC. After cruising to an easy win, he asked the UFC to book him to the next UFC card which is the week after and it was on a different weight class. He smashed his opponent as well. UFC President Dana White took a liking to Chimaev’s attitude to fight claiming he might be the next UFC megastar.

The UFC then booked Chimaev to fight Gerald Meerschaert but Chimaev just ended the match with one punch. It then gave Chimaev lot of fans, he even has more followers than a lot of top ranked UFC contenders. UFC then gave Chimaev a top 5 ranked welterweight which is a huge step up, but the fight didn’t happen due to COVID issues.

As for Rockhold, he is still looking for an opponent that is willing to fight him. Rockhold is still a big name in the UFC since he was at one point the best middleweight when he beat Chris Weidman. He may have had tough losses in his career but he still has what it takes to be a champion. Who do you think should Rockhold fight?
