While it seems like an absolute stretch in any universe that someone like McGregor. With zero boxing experience. Could defeat a boxing legend like Mayweather, there are those who believe McGregor has an opening.
For one, Mayweather is 40 years old. That is super old for a sport like boxing, considered a young man’s game. There is a saying that goes, “Father Time is the only fighter that is undefeated.” And for the most part, that has remained true throughout history. The same applies to Mayweather. At 40-years old, Mayweather isn’t the same athlete that he once was. Yes, he is still defensively brilliant, but he is, undoubtedly a tad slower and a lot less powerful. McGregor on the other hand is young, talented and extremely determined. There is no doubt that youth is on McGregor’s side.
