Holly Holm went from underdog title challenger status before UFC 193, to the undefeated world bantamweight champion after an incredible upset. ‘The Preacher’s Daughter’ shocked the world with her head kick knockout win over Ronda Rousey, handing the former champ her first loss in dominant fashion.
Not many expected Holm to win, let alone destroy ‘Rowdy,’ given the fact the Judo specialist had been destroying contenders in a matter of seconds during her recent fights. MMA once again proved that odds mean little apart from how much money one could win with a bet.
With all the spoils of victory and championship status, there comes an added level of commitment. Add in the fact that Holly Holm smashed the consensus greatest female UFC fighter of all-time, and you can see why Holm is hot property right now.
Attending the Clippers vs Warriors game in The Staples Center, Holm was pictured with the very man that both held a rivalry with Rousey, and then offered to help her with her comeback after losing in Australia, Floyd Mayweather Jr.
‘Money’ was linked to a rumoured charity boxing match with Rousey after a rivalry sparked between the two athletes. Mayweather reacted to Rousey’s loss with a meme on 50 Cent’s Instagram, shortly after the boxing great then offered his help to coach ‘Rowdy’ for her rematch with Holm.
