UFC 167 was an odd night in the history of MMA. This was the night that GSP won a very controversial decision against the pre-USADA Johny Hendricks and then announced that he was taking a hiatus from fighting.
Dana was not happy that GSP would announce he was taking a hiatus from fighting after being involved in such a controversial decision, one that Dana clearly felt Hendricks won. GSP was not interested in facing Hendricks again, especially since Hendricks declined the advanced testing that GSP was willing to pay for. Dana felt that GSP owed the fans a rematch with Hendricks, and was none too happy that GSP just announced he was leaving instead.
