Tito Ortiz

When Zuffa purchased the UFC around UFC 30, there was one marketable star in the company: Tito Ortiz.

Ortiz was on the posters, on the VHS cover, and the most recognizable fighter they had. If Ortiz hadn’t of been as marketable as he was during this time there is no telling what MMA might have turned into. But that doesn’t mean Dana White has any positive feelings for the guy.

Ortiz and Dana White have gone back and forth in the media, and in person with each other, arguing over fighter pay and treatment. Ortiz and Dana’s bad feelings for each other ran so deep at one point that they scheduled an exhibition boxing match against one another. Unfortunately that fight never materialized after Ortiz no-showed the weigh-ins. White had even brought in sparring partners to get ready.

Of all people who have ever made Dana White blow up, none have even come close to Tito.
Ortiz.
