No.5: Miesha Tate vs. Holly Holm – 3.30mins of Round 5</h3
Having likely lost three of the previous four rounds, Miesha Tate knew that she probably needed to find a finish in the final five minutes of her UFC 196 bantamweight title fight against the champion at the time, Holly Holm in 2016.
That was easier said than done though as Holm is a seasoned striker who has a nack for been elusive when required, has a limitless gas tank, and aside from the second round, had proven to be extremely difficult to take down.
Tate had waited a long time for this moment however, and she was determined not to let it slip through her grasp.
Waiting for the perfect moment to pounce, Tate then shot in for an all-or-nothing takedown with just two minutes of the fight remaining.
It proved to have been perfectly timed and she immediately spun around to holm's back and foiled her attempts to get back to her feet.
From there she managed to lock in a rear-naked choke, and with Holm refusing to tap out she eventually had to choke her unconscious in order to secure a dramatic come-from-behind victory and win the title only 90 seconds from the final bell.
