No.4: Demetrious Johnson vs. John Moraga – 3.43mins of Round 5
Demetrious Johnson is something of a master when it comes to late finishes, and he first proved it back in 2013 in just his second flyweight title-defense against John Moraga.
With less than 90 seconds to go in the fight, Johnson took heed of advice his coach Matt Hume had told him prior to the final round and attempted to go for a kimura submission from side control, and then when Moraga defended it, slickly transitioned to an armbar instead.
Moraga desperately tried to defend the flawlessly executed move, but it was already too late, with Johnson extending arm out to the point where he was forced to quickly tap out, only 77 seconds away from the fights conclusion.
