UFC 176
A couple of years after the nightmare of having to scrap UFC 151, the promotion found themselves in a similar predicament at UFC 176 in August of 2014.
The headlining featherweight title fight between Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes fell through when the champion injured his ankle in training, leaving the UFC short of alternative options.
With less than a month until fight night the UFC brass had to come to the painful, and indeed costly, decision to make UFC 176 only the second event in their history to be cancelled.
