Jon Jones Repeated Bad Behavior
Jon Jones is quite possibly the greatest fighter ever to have fought in the Octagon, but has managed to pres the self-destruct button on numerous occasions.
The first time was Jones’ now infamous hit-and-run incident the day after attending an all-night house party, in which he crashed a rented SUV into a pregnant woman’s car before fleeing the scene on foot.
Jones was subsequently stripped his his title and placed on suspension, resulting in an upcoming title fight with Anthony Johnson a month later also being binned.
Jones narrowly avoided a prison sentence and was eventually reinstated by the UFC, but he didn’t turn over a new leaf after that.
Instead, a year later the UFC were forced to scrap the headline fight for the historic UFC 200 event between the star and Daniel Cormier when he tested positive for the banned substances clomiphene and letrozole, leading to a year-long suspension.
That was a big financial blow for the UFC ahead of one of their biggest ever events, but remarkably that wasn’t the end of Jones transgressions as a little over a year later he’d once again be suspended and stripped of the belt after testing positive for steroids.
