6. Anderson Silva vs. the Middleweight Champion (whoever it may be)
Anderson Silva is 41 years old and has let it be known he wants to regain the middleweight championship. He’s good enough to do it, its just whether or not he is given the opportunity.
Late last year Silva announced he wanted to regain the championship, and after he saved UFC 200 following Jon Jones’ removal from the card, its safe to say that the UFC owes him a favour. In late June he began chirping at Michael Bisping, calling for a rematch from their controversial fight in Manchester earlier this year that Bisping won via decision.
Considering the UFC just handed out the latest title shot in the division to Dan Henderson, they will need to make sure a top contender gets the next shot, and its safe to assume Jacare Souza is that person, or at least he will be super upset if he isn’t. This would mean Silva will probably have to fight at least once more before getting a title shot.
