2017 Fight Announcements
The UFC currently has almost nothing booked for 2017. The biggest fight booked after UFC 207 is BJ Penn vs Yair Rodriguez. They are going to have to announce some fights soon, and UFC 206 is a good spot to do that. If the UFC wants to sell tickets to upcoming events, it would be a good idea to announce some fights before the holiday gift buying season.
UFC 208 doesn’t even have a singled announced fight, let alone a main event. Dana White let it be known on UFC Unfiltered earlier this week that he tried to organize Holly Holm vs Cyborg for the event, but evidently Cyborg couldn’t cut down to 145lbs in only 8 weeks notice…
One fight we know for sure will be made at the event is Jose Aldo vs the winner of the main event.
