Covington is no stranger to hanging out with pornstars, so it was no surprise when he attended the first ever MMA event to be streamed on a porn site CamSoda last year.
While there he ended up getting into a verbal altercation with fellow UFC 170lb’er Mike Perry, who was also watching the action from cage-side.
However, Covington’s actions seemed to anger another well known MMA bad boy, Charles ‘Krazyhorse’ Bennett, who had fought earlier in the evening.
Bennett confronted him and they started mouthing off at each other, then Covington pushed the lightweight fighter and ‘Krazyhorse’ responded by throwing punch, before ex-fighter Mike Brown helped seperated them.
Asked later to explain what happened, Covington’s tongue-in-cheek response was to pretend that he’d mistaken Bennett for another of his rivals.
“That was actually Jon Jones, he’d just got off one of his crack binges.”
