Covington vs. Dana White
Of all the people Covington could badmouth, UFC President Dana White would seem to be the one that could do him the most damage – at least to his bank balance, but that hasn’t stopped him lashing out at his boss in anger after failing to receive a welterweight title shot.
Dana hasn’t even done anything,” Covington told MMAjunkie radio earlier this year. “He was just Lorenzo’s little check boy. He holds his coat for him and stuff. Dana’s already cashed out. He got all that money, and he let it get to his head. He’s a piece of s**t person, and he has no morals or values.”
Covington then took it even further by challenging White to release him.
“OK, Dana. Let’s see if you’re a man of your balls. Let’s see if you’re a man of your word. Let’s see if you can stick to what you say. You said you don’t allow that in the UFC? Alright. I’m testing you, motherf***er’. Let’s see how big your balls are. Release me, b***h.”
So far White has opted to just ignore Covington’s taunts, though he has since revealed that not only will ‘Chaos’ not be getting a title shot next, but that he’ll have to keep fighting in order to get back in line for that opportunity.
