4. Ken Shamrock UFC 61 (And Fight Night 6.5)

It’s amazing to think about this but at one time the most talked about fight in mixed martial arts was Ken Shamrock vs. Tito Ortiz.  If fans had known how far each of these two fighters would sink later in their careers the fight probably wouldn’t have been nearly as anticipated.

The other factor at play here was how lopsided this match up was.  At no point was Ken Shamrock the least bit competitive in this rivalry.  It didn’t matter if the fight at UFC 61 was stopped a touch early, Ortiz was just going to maul the guy all night until somebody stopped him.

After fights 2 and 3 with Ortiz (UFC 61 and Fight Night 6.5) it was made clear to the world that Ken Shamrock was not a competitive fighter anymore.
