2. Corey Hill
Corey Hill’s mixed martial arts career is probably best known for the gruesome leg injury he suffered at UFC Fight for the Troops 2008. Dale Hartt checked a leg kick from Hill and it ended up shattering Hill’s leg in the process.
The TUF season 5 veteran went 1-2 in the UFC before the injury set his career back.
Hill wouldn’t let the injury stop his career however and would be back within a year, but he would never fight for the UFC again. Hill lost his last 5 fights before a sudden bout of pneumonia required an emergency lung transplant in 2015.
The transplant failed, Hill suffered a heart attack and died on May 15th 2015. He was only 36.
