7. Rafael Dos Anjos
“RDA” is one of the nicest guys in MMA. The former lightweight champion found the cut down to 155lbs incredibly tough, so he moved up to welterweight, where he’s been since dropping his title to Eddie Alvarez. Dos Anjos is a great striker and surged to the lightweight title on the back of a three-fight win streak.
He’d win a Performance of the Night bonus for beating Anthony Pettis by unanimous decision in the main event. Then Dos Anjos would go on to defend his title once successfully against Donald Cerrone. The weight cut definitely depleted him though and he got destroyed by Eddie Alvarez in his second attempt to retain the belt.
